Our sensor allows for precise origin-destination counting of various types of vehicles, as well as active travel users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
We can also provide with speed measurements on all detected users. We are able to determine the average and 80 percentile speeds (so called V80) for all users as well as for each category of users
The FlowSense sensor is able to categorise travelers and road users into 7 different categories, thus allowing our customers to gain a deeper understanding of their transportation environment, to make changes to intersections accordingly or to fine tune red-light timings.
Our custom 3D printed case is made to wistand all types of weather. It is wind and rain resistant according to IP66 standard and can operate in a wide range of settings. The case is sealed with a EPDM o-ring to resist harsh conditions and made of eco-friendly PLA plastic from Switzerland.
The IMX219-based sensor used in our sensor is sensitive to lightwaves from visible to the near infrared spectrum. This allows for higher sensitivity in low light conditions, enabling us to perform origin-destination counting, by day or night.
Our FlowSense sensor is dual powered by a solar/battery power supply. This allows our sensor to function independently from any power outlet. Enabling us to perform measurements even in secondary, less connected roads, whilst reducing our CO2 emissions
Our sensor is packed in a single suitcase. This enables us to perform quick and easy installations, as it can be transported easily by a single person using any transport mode available such as train, bike, or even by foot ! The universal mount point allows the sensor to be installed in a wide range of situations, such as existing infrastructure or on a standalone tripod, allowing it to be lifted up to 3 meters high to obtain a wider area of measurement.
